½ DayFarm and financial records, cost of production, gross margin analysis, budgeting and loan utilization.
½ DayClean milk production, milking hygiene, mastitis prevention, cooling, transport, and KDB quality standards.
1 DaySite selection, soil testing, suitable fodder species, planting methods, and pest & weed control.
1 DaySilage making, hay making, crop residue conservation, and feed storage for the dry season.
1 DayCommon dairy diseases, parasite control, vaccination programs, biosecurity and disease reporting.
1 DayHousing design, ventilation, flooring, bedding, space requirements and heat stress management.
½ DayReading body condition, feeding & drinking behaviour, rumination, dung scoring and heat detection.
½ DayDairy breeds, heat detection, artificial insemination, pregnancy diagnosis and genetic improvement.
1 DayFull sessions typically run 1 day; lighter topics such as Farm Management, Record Keeping, Cow Housing and Cow Signals run half a day.
